Happy Birthday Danny!

For my brother's birthday, I used his love for Chinese food as inspiration. Another simple, easy treat for a special brother.

Mother's Day Sunflowers

These were just fun to create, beautiful to look at, and delicious to eat up!

Easter Pie

If you're looking for a quick, cute bite to eat, this is the one. Bake a cupcake, smother it with frosting, pile on some M&M's, and pipe some lines over top and you have the cutest pies for Easter Sunday. Or any Sunday for that fact.

Brutus Bulldogs

For four years I got the opportunity to swim at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. While I no longer swim for the team, my bulldog pride still resonates deep. Nationals fall in February, and while in years past it's been held in Texas or Missouri, this year it was in my home state of Ohio. Not only that, it was in the same pool I competed at for my high school state tournament. Boy did that bring back memories. As a small treat to express my alumni spirit, I decided to bring some bulldog pride and create an individual bulldog for each one of the gals and coaches. These were incredibly time-consuming, but I'd say the finish product was worth the effort.

Happy Valentine's Day

Some extra sweetness for an already sweet day :o)

Happy 1st Birthday Henry!

Oh this kid is the most darly boy you will ever meet!! Not only is he adorable in his mini Abercrombie attire, but he loves Sesame Street. So for his first birthday, I was asked to create some characters from the lovable kid show. His favorite character is Elmo so that was a must, and then who doesn't love a cookie monster?!?! "C is for cookie, and cookie is for me! YUM YUM YUM YUM!!" Oh how I love cookie monster. These were a lot more difficult than I predicted, but with the aid of my sister and brother-in-law, we managed to create, what I think, are some pretty darn good looking Sesame Street characters that were completely edible...and sure to induce a food coma after the large quantity of sugar you consume with just one cupcake.

Let's Go Unies!

I was given the opportunity to coach a lovely group of girls at the Columbus School for Girls in '08 and '09. During that time, my baking juices were starting to flow and I created these cupcakes to inspire the gals to swim fast! I know, I know, the training is what made them swim fast, but who wouldn't love one of these treats after a night of hard competition?
